Relief Supplies List

FOOD & WATER

  • Tin & non-perishable food items (canned fish, beans, corned beef, vegetables, etc.)
  • Bottled water (1 L and 5 gal containers)
  • Instant noodles and dry soups
  • Ice (block or bagged)
  • Snacks for kids (cereal bars, biscuits, fruit cups)
  • Baby formula and infant food (as needed)
  • Reusable water jugs or collapsible jerrycans
  • Oral rehydration salts (ORS) and water purification tablets

SAFETY & COMFORT

  • Mosquito repellent (spray or cream)
  • Mosquito candles, destroyer coils or electric mosquito bats
  • Sunscreen & after-sun lotions
  • Dust masks for cleanup and debris

POWER & LIGHTING

  • Candles & matches
  • Flashlights / torches + extra batteries
  • Battery or solar-operated lanterns / flashlights
  • Battery-operated or rechargeable fans
  • Solar lanterns with phone charging ports
  • Power banks (pre-charged if possible)
  • Hand-crank or solar radios for updates

(⚠ Generators should only be used outdoors, far from flooded structures to avoid CO poisoning and electrocution.)


BEDDING, HYGIENE & CLOTHING

  • Mattresses, sheets, towels, sleeping bags, blankets
  • Alcohol, hand sanitizer, soap, disinfectant wipes/spray
  • Toothpaste & toothbrushes
  • Deodorant
  • First Aid kits (bandages, antiseptic, pain relievers, gloves)
  • Sanitary products (pads, tampons, menstrual cups)
  • Baby products (pampers, baby wipes, formula, cereal)
  • Clothing & shoes for all ages and genders (preferably sorted by size)
  • Raincoats / ponchos
  • Cleaning supplies – bleach, detergent, disinfectant, scrub brushes, mops, rubber gloves
  • Laundry detergent and plastic buckets

REBUILDING SUPPLIES

  • Tarpaulins (heavy-duty and standard)
  • Plywood, zinc sheets, nails, rope, duct tape
  • Wheelbarrows, power saws, hand tools (shovel, rake, machete, crowbar, hammer)
  • Buckets, barrels, jumbo garbage bags
  • Tents (for temporary shelter or storage)
  • Work gloves, safety goggles, rubber boots

ELDERLY CARE

  • Adult diapers / pads
  • Nutritional supplements (Ensure, Glucerna, Supligen, etc.)
  • Over-the-counter medications for pain, cold, hypertension, diabetes
  • Walking canes / mobility aids if available

OTHER USEFUL ADD-ONS

  • Zip-lock bags or dry bags for document protection
  • Whistles and basic rain ponchos for children
  • Battery or solar fans for heat relief
  • Insecticide spray or powder for stagnant water areas
